Australia Student Visa Process

Australia, one of the fascinated and highly developed country, is on the sixth largest country in the world.  International students who are willing to study in Australia first need to apply for the admission in an institution before applying for the visa. The number of steps followed:

• Choose the preferred course and institution
• Submitting an application to the college or university
• Getting an offer and an acceptance letter
• Receiving electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE)
• Applying for Student Visa (Subclass 500), Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590)

Providing a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

• You have to choose the relevant course of study which you have done in your home country. If you get enrolled in a full-time course, the course must be designated on the CIROCOS. 

Genuine temporary entrant (GTE) Requirements

• Under GTE Requirement applicant just need to show the genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily.

Financial requirements for an Australian student visa?

• Option-1: Students need to have enough money that to pay for the course fee, travel and living cost for a student while studying in Australia.  
• Option-2: The evidence that meets the annual income requirement.

Option 1: Twelve months fund’s option

Majority of Indian student demonstrate their Financial Capacity by providing Evidence of funds for their 12 Months of study.

The 12-month living cost is:

• Student: AUD 20,290
• Partner/Spouse: AUD 7,100
• Child: AUD 3,040

Travel Cost: About AUD 2,000

College/University Fee: 

There is need a certain amount in an account as $25,000- 30,000 course accordingly.

Acceptable Funds Forms:

• Money deposit with a financial institution (Bank Balance, FD etc…)
• A loan with a financial institution
• If you have money in Post office, PF/PPF, Co-operative Bank etc then Transfer fund to a Valid bank and keep proof of source of fund(Post office, PF/PPF, Co-operative Bank etc…)
• Government loans; and
• Scholarship or financial support

Annual income option 2: 

The annual income option requires a student to provide evidence of personal annual income of at least AUD 60,000. For students accompanied by family members, the requirement is at least AUD 70,000. The income demonstrated must be the personal income of your spouse (who is not coming with you) or parents.

English language requirements (PTE / IELTS Requirement for Student Visa Australia)

The student must score overall 6.0 with minimum 5.5 for the better learning outcome at the university studies.
